Oven display is black, no lights on the display

If the oven display is black, no lights on the display, refer to the suggestions below for step by step instructions.

Some oven models with Omega, Vision VCU and Hexagon electronics are equipped with a power-saving mode to deactivate the display in standby mode.

The Omega electronics have a power-saving mode to deactivate the display (dark display, in standby only).

  • Simultaneously pressing the “up” 2017-11-13_2225.png button and the button with the “clock” 2017-11-14_0150.pngsymbol makes the display go dark (in standby mode only).
  • If the display is dark, press the “UP” 2017-11-13_2225.png button and the “clock” 2017-11-14_0150.png button. The display will show the time in standby mode again.

Note: Be careful with the Electrolux look, where the two buttons that are used to activate the function are very close together and can sometimes be activated accidentally.

Note: If there are problems with a dark display in Vision VCU, you must disconnect the equipment from the mains and then reconnect it to reset any electronic problems before replacing any components (this is due to a known problem in Vision VCU where a power failure can sometimes also deactivate the display).

 Vision VCU electronics:

The VCU electronics have a power-saving mode to deactivate the display (dark display, in standby only).

  • The function can be activated/deactivated from the BASIC SETTINGS menu and then TIME INDICATION.

Note: If there are problems with a dark display in Vision VCU, you must disconnect the equipment from the mains and then reconnect it to reset any electronic problems before replacing any components (this is due to a known problem in Vision VCU where a power failure can sometimes also deactivate the display).

 Hexagon electronics:

Some versions of the Hexagon electronics have a power-saving mode to deactivate the display (dark display, in standby only).

  • To deactivate (on a display in standby) or reactivate the function (display switched off in standby), press the 2017-11-14_0145.png and 2017-11-14_0144.png buttons simultaneously for two seconds.

Note: In some versions of the Omega, Vision VCU and Hexagon interfaces, the function to deactivate

the display (dark display)  is not permitted by the configuration software. When there are problems with electronic models with the display switched off, you must disconnect the equipment from the mains and then reconnect it to reset any electronic problems before replacing any components (this is sometimes also due to a loss of power for a certain period of time).
