Dishwasher displays error message C3 or AL4

The C3 or AL4 error messages indicate a leak and water accumulating at the bottom of the appliance.

Turn off the dishwasher's water supply to prevent flooding.

Drainage problem

The drainage system may also be causing the problem.

  • When using some types of siphon lock with the drain nozzle with the dishwasher in a low position, various problems may occur due to dirty water flowing back into the dishwasher, such as overflowing, error messages appearing on the panel, poor washing or drying results, etc.
  • It may be necessary to replace the siphon lock in order to get the dishwasher to work optimally.

Correct Drainage:

  • The drain hose is connected to the vented part of the siphon trap.
